“If you build it they will come” is a dangerous lie.
I found this out in 2008 when I started a ski holiday business in the French Alps. (I used to be a private chef, even cooked for royalty..!)
A lucky break kept that business afloat, and I learnt how important this ‘marketing’ stuff really is.
I spent the next decade working to become very good at getting new clients for all different kinds of businesses.
But I knew something wasn’t quite right.
in his 1940 film ‘The Great Dictator’ Charlie Chaplin said “more than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness” and that phrase really stuck with me.
I realised that this is what I wanted to do – to make the world a kinder place.
And it clicked.
The people I’ve always felt a great affinity with are the therapists, the yoga teachers, the doulas, the physios, the personal trainers…
Because these are people who have chosen to spend their lives making other people’s lives better.
They are ‘care’ focussed rather than ‘business’ focussed. And this means that often they struggle with the marketing side of things.
I saw how getting enough clients in the door to create a sustainable/ comfortable life for themselves was more difficult than it needed to be.
The timing was perfect, I’d spend a couple of years getting to know Facebook advertising, and saw how powerful it was for local service businesses.
So now I work with small businesses in the UK Health & Wellness industry.
I’ve developed a system that brings in consistent new leads for them and takes away the stress that comes from worrying about where next month’s bookings are going to come from.
What I do for them:
– Reduce the stress in their lives by taking time spent on marketing off their plates.
– Help them make a bigger impact on the world by filling up their clinics/classes/diary with more client.
– Increasing their income, ensuring they aren’t sacrificing their own quality of life for the pursuit of serving others
Here’s my pitch:
Tell me a little bit about your business, a little bit about your goals, and a little bit about your clients.
I will tell you honestly whether you should be spending money on Facebook Ads, (or if not, what I think would be the best channel for you to be using) and walk you through the methods I use to bring consistent new leads in for my clients.
